COLLECTIONS

The Northeastern Nevada Museum has an extensive

collection of artifacts – from hat pins to

stagecoaches – that it maintains and preserves as

an enduring record of the past. The Collections

Department accepts donations of items that pertain

to Elko County or northern Nevada.  To make a

donation, contact the Collections Department.

ARCHIVES

The Northeastern Nevada Historical Society, which

owns and operates the museum, also houses a large

collection of historical archives and a 4,000 volume

library.  The staff maintains and preserves more

than 50,000 photos, newspapers dating back to

1869, documents, local government records, and

maps, making it the best place in town to do

research.

The Archives Department at the Northeastern

Nevada Museum is open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday.

An index of all Museum Quarterly issues up to 2016 can be downloaded here as a pdf. It is organized by subject and can be searched within your pdf viewer.
